go on a ride, because the one time you forget it
will be the time you get a puncture.

Tube Not essential if you have a puncture repair
kit with you, but it is easier and quicker to
replace the tube on a ride and then repair the
puncture when you get home. Just remember to
remove whatever caused the puncture before putting
the new tube in or you'll be kicking yourself
about 5 minutes later.
Mini Pump Make sure your pump fits whichever type of
valve (presta or schraeder) that's on your inner
tube.
